Opendoor: The Real Cost

You may have heard of Opendoor as a way to sell your home quickly without showings.  They can do this by charging higher fees than Village and paying you below market-price.  After Opendoor purchases your home, they photograph and list it on MLS for just above fair-market value.  When they flip your home, the proceeds become Opendoor profits.   Net profits from an Opendoor sale are on average 5% lower than what you would earn when you list and sell your home with Village.
